5–6 kg/m²

Above 6 kg/m² buys more depth of protection, not much more strength, except on concrete with high bleed characteristics.

On-site mistakes to avoid
Documented site practice, not guesswork. The things that actually cause callbacks.
- Never water-cure polymer-modified products. The film that lets the polymer work can't form under standing water.
- In dry, windy conditions, protect polymer-modified mortars against evaporative surface set; a film can form on top while the mortar underneath is still plastic.
- Wet the trowel with dilute polymer solution before finishing, since a dry trowel on this surface drags and cracks.
- Never dry-pack a fluid-flow grout. Use SDP for dry-pack, HS60/MS40/SuperFlow for fluid flow.
- Pre-quench the substrate with clean water and keep shuttering leak-proof: an unquenched, thirsty concrete sucks the mix water out of the grout, causing plastic shrinkage cracking.
- Cover exposed grout immediately after placement until set, then coat with a curing compound such as Samson ResinCure.
- All our cementitious products have a shelf life of nine months to a year. Store in dry, cool storage. Avoid use of expired stock.
