Repairs to Concrete Floors

Once a repair goes beyond surface dusting or a fine crack, it needs a structural repair mortar rather than a cosmetic fix. Here's how Samson approaches more significant floor repairs, and the products behind them.

When the damage is more than cosmetic

For more significant repairs, chip out the damaged area and use PatchMortar, or MicroConcrete for repairs over 10mm thick, bonded with P3 Primer to ensure the new material stays put.

Resurfacing rain-damaged or worn slabs

RampSkim is a unique product suitable for 4–8mm concrete resurfacing, for example where rain-damaged slabs need a skim repair. It's bonded using P3 Primer and, depending on requirements, doesn't need to be smooth-trowelled: it will naturally provide a satisfactory surface for parking decks and many other applications.

Product data

  • P3 Primer: pack size 10kg / 20kg, yield 1kg/mm/m², water 30% by mass (6L per 20kg).
  • PatchMortar: pack size 25kg, yield 2kg/mm/m² (12L per 25kg), water 15% by mass (3.75L per 25kg).
  • MicroConcrete (depending on depth): pack size 25kg, yield approx. 12.5L per bag (80 bags per m³), water 12% by mass (3L per 25kg).
  • RampSkim: pack size 25kg, yield 2m² per 25kg at 5mm, water 14% by mass (3.5L per 25kg).
